Happy Boys - Not So Happy Mom

Brian called me on his way home from Lins the other day and said he and Isaac had a surprise.  When they got home I was not very pleasantly surprised.  They got a  8 week old Yellow Lab puppy that was being given away.  It's not so much that I don't like dogs as it is I don't like dogs in my house and Brian and I have VERY differing oppinions on that.  But he promised that we could keep it outside and how could I say "get rid of it" after Isaac and Jackson were so happy to have it.  I don't know we'll see how long it lasts.
They both love to play with her.  Isaac has been doing very good at feeding her him self and doing what needs to be done.
Brian wanted to name her Texas but Isaac didn't like that and he asked me what I thought the name should be and I said umm how about Sheila.  After that he didn't like any name but Sheila - so Sheila it is.
I will admit she is cute - but i don't have to admit that I like her.

10 Years!!!!!

We can not believe that we just had our 10 year anniversary on March 4th!! So crazy. Brian was very sweet and surprised me with flowers, they were beautiful but hopefully he will only do that every 10 years.
Normally we don't do much for our anniversaries but we both wanted to do something fun for our 10 year.  Actually our original plan was to go to North Carolina this summer to visit where we first fell in love and lived for over a year. But now we will be having a baby this summer instead.  So the next best thing would be to go camping.
We just took the boys with us, we knew they would love it too.
It was a bit cold and windy but we borrowed a friends camp trailer and that made the nights much more comfortable.
We just camped out at Whitney Pockets, since it would be too cold much more north.
I loved coming to this dam when I was little so Isaac and I rode the rhino over and played for a while.  I still think it is so neat.
Cool dudes.
We had so much fun.  We were going to stay from Friday morning till Sunday evening but Kristi and I were asked to play at Kevin Jones funeral so we decided to leave Thursay night after work (didn't get there till 10 pm) and then came home Saturday morning.
Isaac's favorite part was the campfire.  He loved roasting hotdogs and marshmellos.
I wish I would have gotten a picture of our naptime.  We went for a long 2 hour rhino ride and Isaac fell asleep in the back and Jackson slept on my lap.  It was a beautiful sunshiny day.  Oh how I love the desert.   You can see a tiny sliver of  Lake Mead in this picture.

Getting Big

Jackson was sitting up on this little chair by himself so we took some pics.
He also figured out how to ride this little train by himself, his feet could barely touch but he loved it.  Then Isaac got on with him and they rode around together.

Meal Times

Jackson loves to eat!
This is Isaac and his friend Kannon eating their P.B.J.'s. Picnic in a wagon.

Model A

Trisha and the kids came to visit the other weekend and Brian showed them his Model A truck.

Hard at Work

Brian and Isaac have been working in their spare time (which is hardly ever) on our little building out back to turn it into a music room.  I think this is when they dug and dug and dug trying to find the sewer and didn't find what they were looking for.
Digging a big hole is never a waste of time though, there is nothing Isaac would rather do than dig with his Dad.

Dino Museum

We had never gone to the Dinosaur Museum in St. George so the other weekend we went and checked it out.  It was pretty cool, I will have to admit the boys loved going to Petco afterwards and looking at all the live animals for free way more.

Yeah!!

My dreams have come true!! I am not kidding.  The whole reason I started a blog was in hopes that I could make a book out of it and never have to scrap book again.  My friend Wendy had shown me her Blurb Blog Book and thats what got me going.  But when I tried to do it, it was way too much work or i'm just not smart enough - i figured I may as well be scrapbooking as doing that.  So I just kept blogging and hoping that I would eventually find the technology that would solve all my problems.  The other day there was a little ad on my blog and I went to it and LITERALLY clicked one button and viola my book was complete.  I really should have done some editing and fixed some things but I am perfectly fine with mediocrity.  Now I am going to put all the pictures that I would normally want scrapbooked (which never happens) on my blog and make a book at least once a year or so.  I am just so happy about it!
