Girls Trip to Zions

Kristi, Lauren and I took my Mom to Zions, her favorite place,  for her birthday.

We hiked to the Emerald Pools - with several detours and some circles.

Total I would say we hiked about 4 miles in the heat up hill both ways.  Kristi took Emma Lynn, her 7 week old baby.  They really slowed us down.......only because every person who passed by (it was really busy) had to stop and look at the baby and tell Kristi how crazy she is.  She is amazing!! As you can see she can out hike us all.

Emma did great - she just slept the whole time.  She is an adventurer just like her momma.

It was absolutely beautiful.

Mothers and Daughters. 3 generations.

This is how you drink water from a camel back if the other person has a cold sore. There's your tutorial.

Beautiful tough girls.

This was sitting under a little water fall, it was an awesome trail.

We made it!  If you look close you can see Lauren with her arms out in celebration.

Kristi recapping the whole adventure.

First Time

We went shooting the other day - it was Jacksons first time.  He did good wearing his ear protection.  After a while his neck got a little tired of holding his head up.

We also took one of my Young Women from chruch - it was her first time shooting too and she really liked it.

Isaac likes to hand us the clays and shoot the 22.

Mostly he likes to play in the back of Daddys truck.

And everything's more fun now that he has a brother to share it with!

New Truck

We got a new truck - I was worried that it was too fancy and not tough enough.  I dared Brian to go up this extremely long and steep dirt road up a mountain near Vegas.  It did good and I like it a little better now. Brian absolutely loves it!!

Overton Airport Days

We went to Overton Airport Days with Kyle and Melaina Bradshaw, her dad is one of the ones who put it on every year.

It was fun to look at the planes but it was still a little too hot.  Will it ever cool off?!

This is Isaac and his friend Mateo, they have lots of fun together.

Isaac loves to push Jackson in the stroller - he is a good helper.

Nothin' like a snow cone to cool ya off...

Or sometimes just a thumb will do the trick

Fun with Grandma and Grandpa

My mom took the boys for a ride on the 4-wheeler one day when I was over singing songs with Dad.  We hurried and ran out when she came back so I could get a picture.

The closer my Mom and Dad get to leaving on their mission the more I want to make sure I have pictures of them, the kids we be so different by the time they get back.

All wore out!

Workin' Boys

Brian called one day at work and said Isaac could come ride on the backhoe with him.

Isaac hadn't  gotten to do this in a while and was so excited.

Backhoes are his second favorite thing.

His Daddy is his first favorite thing.

They are both hard workers.

Back to Nevada

Time to head back to Nevada.
(The wheel barrow you see was Brian's dads when he was little.)

Last picturesque look of a rumbling river.

Isaac wanted to hold Jackson in his car seat at one of our stops.

We decided to stay at a hotel on the way home instead of our truck.

We needed to get our wiggles out.

It felt much better.

We all had wiggles.

Aunt Jamie

Kelley gave Isaac a puzzle for his Birthday present and Isaac asked Aunt Jamie to help him put it together.

It was quite intense.

They did it!

Family Party

Labor Day weekend Penny had all the family over for a party.

There are 7 borthers and sisters in her family, so there are a lot of people.

Aunt Becky, Aunt Mary, Aunt Jamie and Grandma Vera are in this picture. (just Aunt Jamies hair)

There are also lots of dogs running around when they have family parties - they are all dog lovers.

Norm and Ray always play Cribbage.

Brian always tells jokes.

Everyone oogles over the babies.

Uncle Rob with Jackson.

Isaac quickly learned where to go to get things fixed.
