1st Day of Kindergarten

The big day came, our little world is forever changed, Isaac started Kindergarten. He was pretty excited and he is definitely ready but it's still a little hard to let go. It was the only morning he slept later than 6:30 am the entire summer, I had to wake him up at 7:30. So weird. He was very excited to wear his transformer shirt and new Sketcher shoes.

Loading up to head down to the bus stop.
Two houses down from us is Isaac's friend Kaylee and they were very excited to be able to ride on the bus together. They are both starting Kindergarten but have different teachers.
There are a lot of kids at our bus stop.
Kaylee's Mom Marissa ,and the kids.
My Camera is too slow and I only got a tiny bit of him getting on the bus but that's him!
I told him that after he got on the bus I would hurry and drive to the school to make sure he got off the bus and on to the playground okay but unfortunately I didn't beat the bus. We were the last stop and then they went straight to the school.
I just met him on the playground and we got to stay and play until it was time for them to go into the classroom.
They have a fun little playground to play on.
 Isaac and Kaylee.
 Me and Isaac.
James, Isaac and Emma. James and Emma can't wait till they can go to school!!
Isaac's new teacher, Mrs. Williams. He is lucky because he already knows her from church and we know she is going to be an awesome teacher. (I can't get him to smile normal - it's his new thing.)
 Isaac, Jackson and James.
When it's time to go in they have them all line up against the fence and yell "By" to their parents.  I tried my hardest not to cry but I just couldn't help it. Even thinking about it now makes me cry. I just can't believe he's all grown up!

After we got all the kids dropped off we walked across the street to Kristi's house and let all the kids who didn't get to start school yet play together for a while. And so us Mom's wouldn't be so sad about not having  our big kids with us. Before I knew it, it was time to walk back across the street and make sure Isaac got back on the bus okay. He did totally awesome and loved riding the bus. The ride back to Overton is about 45 minutes with all the stops, but I think he will do okay.
Walking in a line back to the bus. (and Kaylee's Mom) I got to talk to his teacher for a minute and she said he did so good. She said she used him a lot to help her show the other kids how to do things. I'm so proud of him.
Back on the bus. The first day of school was a success!

Rainy Days in the Desert

This week we had some amazing rain.  Our whole yard was flooded and driving around town was very hazardous with rivers of water running across many of the streets. There's nothing better than playing in the desert rain though! It smells and feels wonderful!
Isaac and our neighbor girl Kaylee jumping on the wet trampoline

Jackson checking out the wet yard.
 Our own little pond.
Isaac running out in the gutter.
Kaylee brought over an umbrella. My kids had never seen one in real life!

Jackson just felt like having silly putty on his forehead all day. By the time he took it off it took a lot of scraping to get his forehead clean.
Anna woke up from her nap to all of this and wasn't sure what to think.
Then we headed over to the Jensen's back yard to see how fun it would be in the rain.

 Anna loves to jump

 Spinning and spinning.

 Brmmmm
Very fun!

Baby Johnny

The other day we were lucky enough to get to watch cousin Johnny for a few minutes while his momma ran to the store. I tried to keep him all to myself  but Isaac and Jackson wanted a turn too.

Isaac Turns 6!

August 10th FINALLY came and Isaac was SO excited! He kept saying, "I can't believe i'm six!"

I let him open one present first thing in the morning.
When we all go out shooting Grandpa lets him shoot his BB gun and he's wanted one ever since. I  got him one but of course he only gets to use it with an adult.
We stopped by Grandma's and drank an orange soda before doing some target practice.
Isaac did very well and even shot one of the balloons we set up.
It's always a long day of waiting for the family birthday party. The bummer this year was Isaac had pink eye on his birthday. We were planning to do a big cup cake decorating with all the cousins in the morning but we cancelled (just did it ourselves) because we didn't want to share the pink eye.  In the end the Dalley's still ended up coming over for the party because it is also Emma Lynn's birthday on August 10th and she was so excited to come over and have their party's together. We sure had fun but we will see if they regret it in the next few days if pink eye shows up at their house. Anna and Jackson have it now.
Isaac loves to decorate his own cake and the Dalleys Decorated cupcakes for Emma.
 Make a wish!

Matthew just needs a balloon to be happy.
 Such good kids.

 Finally time to open presents.
He was so excited about his lego things, a transformer and a leapster game.

Emma Lynns turn to open presents!
She got some cute Dora the Explorer things and an adorable homemade bag from Aunt Lauren.

It was so cute, when she opened the baby doll present she held it like this the rest of the time opening presents. She didn't want to put it down.
Another fun Birthday.
