Lake Days

We have lots of fun summer days going to the lake. Lake mead is our favorite. Nice warm water and plenty of room to be by yourself. 

 On the weekends where we don't have the younger kids, we will take the teenagers and their friends to the lake. 

 They like to have tube wars and wake board. 

 Then when we have all our kids we pile them all onto the tube.

 Jackson just loves to jump in. When he gets tired of riding on the tube he just suddenly rolls off- he knows we'll come back around and get him. 

 Anna's favorite is driving the boat with Randy. 

 And sometimes its fun just to sit in the boat and watch. 

We love the lake days. 

Water Fight!!!

Every year the little town of Bunkerville has a giant town water fight the evening before 4th of July. We spent the whole morning blowing up water balloon and filling up big tubs with them. 

 Then when the time came we loaded up the kids and trailer and headed to Bunkerville. (I guess Randy has been doing this since he was a little boy growing up in Bunkerville - I had no idea!)

 We stopped at his parents house and got everything organized and ready to go. 

 ….and headed for the streets. 

 everyone started out smiling and having a good time….

 but i'm here to tell you, it gets intense!

 People drive the streets and line their houses preparing for war! It hurts when you get hit with some of those flying water grenades!   

 Not too far in the younger kids were crying and wanting in the car and the older kids were just taking cover under the tarp protecting themselves. (look at Jacksons face on that one)

 These guys were scary!!

 I finally decided it was time to take action. 

I got the little ones off and went to war! No time for pictures after that.
