1st Day of Preschool

Isaac started preschool this year.  Me and 5 other Moms are doing a little group once a week.  He was very excited.
He wanted me to take a picture of his backpack. (He has had it for about 2 years.)

Texas Boys

The Zoo!!

Brian flew to Texas on a Thursday night, Friday we went to the Zoo and saw a few other things around Dallas and Saturday mornnig we headed home.  We have wanted to take the boys to the zoo for a while and they loved it.
Penguins
Brian broke his hand while I was gone while working on our septic tank that blew up, so this sign was fitting for him.
Grandma carried Anna the whole time in the front pack.  It was very hot and humid so she shaded her with Isaac's hat.  Aren't Grandmas the best!
Riding the sky tram around the Zoo.
Jackson bumped his head on this giant metal boar shortly after and wasn't too happy.

Hair Cut

Dad noticed that Isaac's hair was getting pretty long so he fixed him right up.
Turned out pretty good!

Mary Kay

Mary Kay headquarters is in Dallas Texas and we heard you could get a tour, so Mom called and they said you have to schedule it 5 days in advance. That wasn't going to work and then Mom mentioned that I was an "independant consultant" and they said, "oooh well come down and we'll give ya'll a tour of Mary Kays own office."  We figured it was a once in a lifetime opportunity so we went on down.
Our own personal tour guide took us up to the 13th floor and showed us Mary Kays office.  They keep it exactly as she had it when she was alive.  Pretty fancy.
This was the lady that showed us around she was so so nice and had such a cute Texas accent.
Anna liked it too.

Texas Apartment

It was pretty close quarters in their one bedroom apartment for 2 weeks. But ussually they were either at work or we were all out doing something, so it worked out good.
The boys loved this train set Grandma bought.
They have an awesome pool in their backyard that was so fun to swim in.
Jump!!

Cattle Monument

One evening Mom watched the kids while Dad showed me some places like this cattle monument, it was very cool.
He's a nut!

The Malls and Parks

So I'm thinking that this is what city kids do.  Go to play places in the malls and all the parks around the city.  We had a great time, the kids loved it.
Dad is such a good sport. I didn't get a picture of him taking the kids on the little train that goes through the mall - I was shopping.
Watching the penny going down down down - "like a toilet" Isaac said.
This is one of the awesome parks we went to.  There were so many cool parks.  This one my Dad and I found as we were driving around while my mom was at a choir practice.   Just before I saw it Dad almost killed us all when he almost ran into another car.  I gasped as loudly when I saw this park and I think it almost caused Dad to get into another accident.
We took the bikes a lot too. There are lots of paths to ride on. Isaac had a great time riding bikes with Grandpa.

Fort Worth Texas

I decided I wanted to drive to Texas and see my parents on their mission. A few days before I left my Aunt Susan Whipple called and said she wanted to go with me.  It was so nice of her to go and it made the 20 hour drive much easier with the kids. We left on a Friday morning and got there Saturday evening.  One of the places Aunt Susan wanted to see before she left was Fort Worth, we went there on Monday and then she flew back to Logandale on Tuesday. I wish I would have taken some pictures on our drive there, we had quite the time.  It was so fun to have such an adventure with Aunt Susan.
The kids love these little coin operated horses.
I think Dad looks very handsome in his cowboy hat.
They were so excited to see their Grandma and Grandpa again.
Isaac climed a tree when it was time to watch the cattle drive down main street so he could see the action better.
I guess Jackson just wanted to pretend he was a dog.
Anna Isabel was so happy to be snuggled in her Grandmas arms for the first time.
Here come the long horns, you can see dad and Aunt Susan on the edge of the street.
It was extremely humid, we had to stop for a drink to cool off.
Grandma bought Isaac a squirt fan so he could cool her off.
This is how Jackson felt about leaving - my little monster.
