Desert Rain

We finally got some rain and there's nothing more fun than playing in the warm rain in the summertime.

This summer we have been loving the Overton pool and our own little pool. The kids were having fun in their little floaties this day.

Lake Trip!

Our friend Randy took us to the lake. We had such a fun day!

We went tubing….

 

 fishing….

and we played and played in the water. 

 We could not believe it - we caught 2 catfish!

 I had a nice nap out on the tube while they were fishing. 

 So much fun. 

Grandma and Grandpas House

There is always music at Grandma and Grandpas house. 

 Anna played the drum while Grandma played the piano. 

 Grandpa played the guitar and sang while the boys played in the sand.

 The boys were making an "irrigation system". They worked long and hard on it and it was very cool.

More Oregon Fun!

Grandma Penny has a giant puzzle that Jackson loves to put together all by himself.

 This is my favorite pool to go to. When I was pregnant with Isaac I would swim laps here everyday.

There is a wave pool and a giant slide - the kids swam and swam for hours!

The next day we loaded everyone up and head out to the coast. It is only about an hours drive. 

Karissa's Mom, sister and friend went. We had 13 kids there. 

It was a beautiful cool day. 

We found lots of seashells.

The kids loved to run and have the waves chase them.

Isaac and I played lots and lots of frisbee - he is so good at it. 

Jackson found a lady bug. 

Anna would just play out in the waves and sing and dance. 

Isaac spent hours catching these tiny little shrimp.

Jenna looked so cute in her fluffy skirt. 

Whenever we go to the beach it's tradition to get pictures of Aunt Karissa doing tricks. 

Jackson was chasing a big black bird. 

Then he just kept running and jumping for fun. 

Karissa's sister-in-law got a kite going. 

More fancy tricks!

I really enjoyed getting to know Karissa's friend Lani. She told me she was going to run a race on the morning of July 4th so I decided to sign up and run it with her before I caught my flight home. We had lots of fun.

After about 5 hours we realized that we were getting sunburned. It's hard to tell when it's only in the 60's!

It was quite a little hike back to the cars and Jenna Jo let me hold her on the way back. 

After the beach we went into Florence to eat at "Mo's". 

Isaac had a "Grilled Cheese on a Frisbee", he was so excited it actually came on a frisbee for a plate! Anna is hiding behind Isaac. 

After dinner we walked across the street to an ice cream shop.

That was a fun filled day!!

Aunt Karissa tried to keep us eating healthy and fit. This is her, Isaac and Weston doing PiYo (an exercise video) with her.  

Thursday night I spent the night at Karissas house with her and she and I spent the day Friday together before I flew out. She took me to the 10k race I ran that morning and we had a great time with the other 1000 runners celebrating the 4th. 

My new friend Lani. Maybe next year we will run the Eugene half marathon together. 

We had a great trip to Oregon!
