Camping at Kolob Reservoir

Last weekend we had another great camping trip. Corey Dalley was working on making a climbing wall up at the Kolob Campground so Kristi and the kids were heading up to stay over night and the Jensens (our favorite camping friends) were going up to stay at Kolob Reservoir. We left the same time as Kristi and the kids Friday morning and followed her up to check out the climbing wall. Poor Isaac got car sick on the curvey roads on the way up - thankfully I was smart enough to put him in with Kristi. (just kidding)

The climbing wall is amazing! It's crazy that they can build that.
We had a little picnic there.
The kids were very glad to be out of the car.

My car is pretty amazing. It does good on the dirt roads and it has a huge trunk to fit all our camping stuff.
 Emma, Jackson and James.
Kristi camped up by the climbing wall. Her tent was NOT easy to put up!
Once we got the Dalley's camp set up we went down to the reservoir to set up our camp.

The Jensen's got there earlier that morning and had their Jumpin' Jack tent all set up.
It was so beautiful. The sky looks amazing!
Kristi and Matthew. He's getting so big!
The kids loved playing by the water and they caught tons of crawdads.
 Anna and the Jensen's canoe.

Kristi took a bunch of the kids out on the canoe. (not everyone you see here)

 Hot dogs for dinner.
We also cooked some crawdads and ate them. They were very tasty.
The boys watching their crawdads cook.
This was a huge one they caught.
Elise and Tag checking out the dying crawdad.
 Matthew and Kristi Lynn
Will and Caden with their crawdads.
Josh got the meat out of the crawdads for us.
The kids played and played and played.
 Jackson LOVES camping!!
Anna and Tenley discussing their toes.
The kids were not very happy about having to go home Saturday. We had too much fun!

Weekend in Cannonville

We love the Cannonville Park, it's one of the few parks left that has a merry-go-round. Even if someone always ends up throwing up or getting hurt!
At two weeks old baby Johnny got to have his first trip to Cannonville.
The Dalley, Nelson and Greig kids.
I guess sometimes it's just nice to not wear pants.
3 of the best girls around.

 Weeee!

 Visiting
Arnold Cottam and my Dad visiting.
The Dalleys always bring yummy treats.....this time they made home-made ice cream!!

The real reason we came to Cannonville was our dear Grandpa Bill passed away and June 30th was his funeral. We were all planning to be at the Whitney reunion in Marysvale but we had our own little reunion in Cannonville instead. It was a beautiful service and we love and miss him very much but  we know he is in a better place.
On our way in to the Cannonville church for Grandpa's funeral. The Cannonville church is my favorite.

I wanted to get a picture of my 3 kids together but Jackson didn't want to cooperate.

It was a beautiful day.
The graveside.

Then we went back to the church for a luncheon. Anna and Emma hugging. They were almost matching!

 I LOVE this picture!!
That evening everyone went up to the rodeo to watch the Nelson girls ride but Jackson and Anna and I decided to go to the park and run through the sprinklers instead.

Jackson is a good big brother and loves to help Anna.
