Last Camping Trip of the Summer!

For our last camping trip of the summer we decided to go to Navajo Lake. Bryce, Emily and Dillon and Randy and 3 of his kids came with us.
Me and my 3 kids and Randy and 3 of his kids all piled in his Tahoe.
Of course we stopped at Canyon Park in Cedar City on the way up.

The kids put their boats (water bottles) in the creek and chased them all the way to the end.

Since we had made it that far we figured we may as well go check out the park on the other side of the river.

Gage, Jackson, Isaac, Anna and Bailey looking down off into the river while Javen and Randy went to go get the car.

We made it to Navajo lake. Emily had reserved us some awesome camping spots and once we got all set up we headed to the lake to do some fishing.

 The weather was so beautiful!

The kids loved fishing but we didn't catch a thing!
Anna caught a lot of rocks. She collected them all weekend and I washed them all in the washing machine after our trip.
Gage and Bailey getting out some bait.

Back at camp. We got everything set up and started on dinner.

Isaac was feeling a little sick again so he spent quite a bit of time in the hammock.
Gage was an amazing potato peeler and worked so hard on them!
Randy and the kids gathered up some extra wood and then started chopping.

I LOVE this picture of Emily - she looks so great and it reminds me of our old biking days. She was awesome and did a couple trails.
Bryce hooked us up with some coals and lighter fluid.

Isaac and Javen working on their lumber man skills.

Bailey finally got a turn on the hammock...
 ….so relaxing.
We had to get Bryce involved on the thicker pieces of wood.

Jackson liked to go over to Dillons camp and play with his "equipment". They had a lot of fun digging.

Dutch oven chicken and  potatoes sizzling away. mmm mmm.
Bailey and Anna are quite the pals.

 Isaac and Gage.
 Javen sporting the hatchet.
 Time for dinner!

It was nice and cool up there - we even needed little jackets in the evening.

 Isaac chopping away.
The next morning we headed back out for some fishing.
I didn't have any more extra clothes for Anna and Jackson so they had to take of their pants to get in.
Dillon came and did some fishing this time!

 Bailey fished and fished.
 everybody took their turns.

In the end the only person who caught a fish was Gage!
 Cute little thing.

We loved our camping trip!
