Day After Thanksgiving

This year we got to go with the Nelsons to go get a Christmas tree the day after Thanksgiving. The weather was absolutely amazing and we had such a fun time.
The kids were so excited that there was snow on the ground and it really didn't feel that cold with no wind and beautiful sunshine.

Heading out to hunt for some trees.

I think we found the two most beautiful ones in the forest. (I think they really were the only beautiful ones)

Then Uncle Dustin cooked us some hot dogs and made us some hot chocolate!

I'm so glad they thought to bring the sleds because the kids had a blast with them!

The hot chocolate was so delicious and warmed up our insides.

 So cute.
 He-man!!
When we got home the Nelsons stayed for a bit and helped us get our tree up.
 Christmas is the best!

Another beautiful tree!
The part I didn't get pictures of was about 2 hours after this the tree came crashing down!! Every single ornament, light and decoration came flying off. Thank goodness no one was under it - we were busy setting up our village. I told the kids we were lucky because we got to decorate our tree twice this year - they weren't convinced and just sat on the couch while I redecorated it. Someday they might think it's funny. It wont be falling over again though - I screwed it to the floor.
Merry Christmas!!
