A Bunny Named Chocolate Chip

I know I am kind of anti-pet but I must say I adore bunnies.
We finally got a bunny. My Dad built us a bunny cage. We need to take pictures of it. We got this bunny from our friend Jayleen.  The first bunny we picked out died before it got here and it's name was chocolate chip, so we just kept the name for this bunny because we like it so much.  Yes that is a collar and leash on the bunny. It's what I used to do with my bunnies when I was young and I would let them hop around in the alf alfa fields for a delicious snack. Isaac loves him, Jackson doesn't really care and Anna likes to pull his hair.

Another Summer Day

What else do you do in the hot summers (I know it's not even that hot yet) besides sit in the water and drink juice?
We had so much fun on the Dalleys slip n slide we had to get one for our selves!

Jackson figured out that it's much more fun to sit on your bike in the pool. He even got it going down the slide.
 Our set up.
Mostly about drinking juice.

Water Day at Dalley's

We took our pool over to Dalley's and had a great time.
They have a super fun slip n' slide. I wish I would've got some pictures of the big kids going down it.
 Anna and Jackson like it.
There we so many kids in that little pool. Kinda funny.
 Elise and Isaac.
 Playing games.
Ready to go home!

Gettin Out the Pool

Finally time to get out the big pool.
Anna's first time getting in swim suit and pool. She wasn't really into it.
But she does love this little wheeler.
 Happy girl.
 Jackson is crazy!
 Anna also loves the car.
Jackson got freezing cold and snuggled in the towels for a while.
So Isaac needed someone else to swim with so we called up Elise and she came over to swim.
Then Grandma showed up and the neighbor girls.
Fun summer day.

Isaac's Lizard

A while back my friend Jayleen brought Isaac over a lizard. She knew we had been out setting lizard traps so she had her boy catch one for us.  She is so sweet.
Isaac absolutely loved that lizard (even though it bit him several times and made him bleed). He would actually spend hours with it everyday.
Then one time when Isaac went out to check on it and it was gone. We searched around and found him dead in the grass with bite marks in his neck.  Darn cat got a hold of him. I guess what goes around comes around cause now the cat is missing.  My kids definitely have to get used to loosing animals but they do pretty good.

Jackson and His Violin

In the mornings I like to practice the piano. Almost everytime Jackson will go get his violin and say he wants to practice. I just love it.  Right here he is doing such a great rest position - and he just does it! I think its from watching me teach my students.
I play twinkle twinkle on the piano and he plays along. Just random notes of course but I'm not ready to MAKE him do anything (and make him hate it) so he just plays.
Look at Anna in the background. She is a breakfast mess.
For some reason the flash didn't go off for this picture and it's too bad because he does such a great bow. Sometimes he actually falls over on his head but usually he does it just right. Of course he always get a piece of candy afterwards and I'm sure that's huge motivating factor for him.

Fishin' at the 1st Railroad Bridge

My Mom and Dad kept Anna so I could just take the boys fishin. It was a beautiful day and Anna sure had fun with Grandma and Grandpa.

Oh What Do You Do In The (almost) Summertime?

For Easter our neighbor lady Ms. Huerta gave Isaac and Jackson a fun water toy that you hook up to your hose and the other day we tried it out.
They had a great time playing in the water.
 Jackson is too funny.

This is what little Anna did while they played.
Then they were all hungry and we had some lunch.  I don't remember what word I was saying but every time I said it they would all start cracking up which was cracking me up and I had to take a picture of them laughing so hard.

Fishin' at the River

We like to go fishin down at the river.
We don't always catch fish, but we always have fun. This time we almost caught a snapping turtle but he broke our line.
I think Anna will be happier when she can fish and play in the river too.
 But she's still smiling.

Of course we always have to sit on a rock and have snacks.
