Summertime Activities

Oh what do you do in the summertime?....Go to Bass Pro Shop. It's air-conditioned and like a free Zoo and Disneyland all in one. (animals to look at and an elevator and escalator to ride on)

 Corey and Will are gone this week on a 50-mile hike and Kristi invited us to go to Bass-Pro Shop in Vegas with her and her kids. It was a bit crazy with 6 of her kids and my 3 running around but we all had fun. 

 We love looking at the waterfalls, fish and stuffed animals.

 Little Matie Mae is 5 weeks old now and seemed to like it too. 

 This fish was HUGE!

 Emma and Jackson are only 4 months apart. 

 They have some fun target shooting guns too!

 We did get some crazy looks. And only one kid got lost for a short while during the whole time!

 We tried to get a picture with all the kids, but someone always managed to sneak out. 

 If you look close you can see a giant fish down there. 

 Anna and Emma needed a little break. 

 Jackson and Matthew looked so cute with their matching striped shirts and blonde little heads. 

 Right outside the store in the casino there is a huge fish tank with all kinds of colorful fish, string rays and this time a diver and a mermaid!! The diver is in this picture cleaning the tank with a  little toothbrush. 

 Just as we were getting ready to leave we heard people saying....The Mermaid is Coming! We figured we better stick around for that.

 I guess the mermaid was taking a little too long for Anna. 

 Here she comes!!

 She blew everyone water kisses - here she is petting the sting ray!

 I don't care who you are - that was cool! (it actually scared the kids a little at first)

 Then we went over and tried out the tents to see which one we fit best in. 

(we actually had a few kids trip and fall right in to that sign)

 This one seemed the best. 

 This picture is for Uncle Corey so he knows what to get Kristi next Mothers Day - a camp rocking chair. After all the camping trips she has been on with little babies she should have had this a long time ago!

 Matthew and Anna's favorite place. 

 The kids and I all ventured upstairs to look off the bridge at Aunt Kristi in the rocking chair. 

 The majority vote for the favorite thing was the escalator and elevator - too bad I didn't get a picture of that. We were too busy making sure no one got sucked into the top of the escalator. 

Our last picture in a little hidden cave. (I think it was actually a janitors closet - they were probably pretty happy when we left.) Such adventures!
