Sahalie Falls

Another one of our favorite places to go in Oregon, is Sahalie Falls.  It's just about 45 minutes up the Mckenzie river from Brians Moms house.

 

Jackson and Weston stayed at Penny's house while we went so they could have naps, I think Isaac should have had one too.

The river is so clear you can see everything in it.  You can hike up river to the top of the waterfall and then hike about a 1/4 mile down river and there is another water fall called, Koosah Falls.

The Coast

We went and visited Brians Grandparents in Corvallis and from there drove over to the coast.

 

The Oregon Coast is one of our favorite places to go. It is so amazing.  Isaac was asleep in the truck so I stayed with him while Chris, Karissa and Brian hiked down to the beach.  We saw several whales out in the water - it was so cool.

 

  

You had to walk down a whole bunch of stairs to get down to the beach and Weston was getting a little heavy for Karissa so Brian put both boys on him.

Too much fun!

We did lots of fun things while we were in Oregon.  One day went to the City pool with Karissa and Weston.  It has a big wave pool and a huge twisty slide.

 

Another day, Isaac and Karissas two other nephews rode in Dezzies (Karissas Mom) Jeeps to the park down the street.

 

  

Isaac also had lots of fun riding the bike Grandma Penny bought at her house.

Bike Ride

 

Eugene has miles and miles and miles of beautiful bike path around the city.  We decided we all wanted to go for a bike ride so Brian and I rented two bikes and a bike seat for Isaac. Chris and Karissa borrowed a bike trailer for the two little ones and we all went for a bike ride around the city.

There are some fun fountains we always like to ride through.

A lot of the bike paths runs right next to the Willamette river and it is so beautiful.

We stopped by Alton Baker Park to feed the ducks.

Guitar Hero

We stayed a couple nights at Brians brothers house and he loves video games.  He showed us how to play Guitar Hero - Isaac really really liked playing the drums.

 

  

You can see we are both really concentrating. 

 

Chris and Karissa just built a new room in their garage and a whole wall is full of video games and movies!

 

We ate dinner on their back deck in the beautiful weather.

Big Project

So the big project was building a new swing set, and not just any swing set - a really big one!

 

Isaac would get out of the pool to check on the progress every once in a while.

 

This is Brians brother Chris and his step dad Norm.  A cool day to a Nevadn' is  a blistering hot day to an Orgonian.

 

I think Isaac's favorite part about Oregon it that Grandpa Norm has his own Backhoe and he and daddy get to work on it.

 

They put a pallet and a half of concrete in each post.  

Cold Night

 

This is Brian's parents front yard.  It was actually cold at nights - hard to imagine when it is soooo hot here.  You can see the beautiful full moon in this picture.

 

I decided to go for a run and while I was gone Brian took the boys for a walk so jackson would stop crying.  I just thought it was funny because Brian put Isaac's coat on but he was still wearing just his underwear.

 

Silly boys. Jackson did go to sleep though.
