Thanksgiving Afternoon

This year we got to go over to the Dalleys house for Thanksgiving. So much good family and good food. Much to be thankful for!!

 Kristi and Corey hard at work. Everything was beautiful and delicious. 

 They had some cute tables set up out side for the kids. It was such amazing perfect weather. 

 Then the kids played and played in the backyard for a few hours. Building forts or something. So much fun with cousins.

Thanksgiving Morn

Keeping up the tradition of a Thanksgiving day shootout. 

 Uncle Dustin brought some pumpkins for us to shoot.

 The rules are: ear protection on or in the car. We had some of both.

 The kids love to gather up the shells so Dustin can reload. 

 My kids had giant cool-aid mustaches for the day. Still cute though.

Family Pictures

I try to do our family pictures every November. Aunt Lauren is SO SO nice to do them for us! We struggled a bit this year to get a good one but these are a few of the ones we liked. 

 I thought the wall up at the dam would be a nice background. 

 The kids either wouldn't smile at all or were just plain silly!

 The boys both cooperated pretty well and I loved this one of them. Anna just DID NOT want to get in it!

 We experimented with some other things to try and get some smiles.  

 Then we gave it one more shot in Mom and Dads back yard. They haven't said anything yet about smashing up their vinka plants (they weren't home) but I thought the background on these were amazing. Plus Aunt Lauren is a GREAT editor. 

 Isaac is the only one who would just do whatever we told him to - the benefits of age I guess. So he and I took one. 

 Thankfully we got one adorable one of each of them!

Camping in November

November always seems to be the most beautiful month of the year. I decided to take the kids to Valley of Fire for a little camping trip. The weather was beautiful and there was a pretty full moon lighting up the night. We had a great time roasting hot dogs, drinking hot chocolate and hiking. 

 We got there just as the sun was going down. We got the tent set up as fast as we could just as the last of the light faded away. Then the full moon came up. 

 I guess Anna takes after me - she has to turn her head when someone takes a picture. 

 Anna and Jackson hiking all over while we were waiting for Isaac in the outhouse. 

 We love the lantern.

 Time for bed. It was a little chilly but everyone slept so good.

 The next morning we were ready to hike some more. 

 We found a really neat Indian writing. 

 And lots of little holes, windows and caves - or as they call them, "houses".
