Cub Scouts

Isaac has been having a good time in his new cub scout group in Mesquite.
 He's been getting awards

 Doing skits
and all kinds of fun activities.
One activity was each scout had to make and run their own carnival game. Isaac chose to do the game where you throw a ping pong ball and if it lands in a cup you get to keep the gold fish that was in it. We had a crazy time getting the fish there (they kept dying) but it turned out great. It was the busiest games there - everyone wanted a fish and I think everyone got one!

Jackson LOVED playing this game - the lady was nice and let him do it about 100 times. She mixes the cups around and if you can keep your eye on the cup with the candy and guess it right you get to keep the candy.

It was a fun night.

Elbow Canyon

We took a great trip up Elbow Canyon with Grandma and Grandpa.

We got the 4-wheelers the donuts and Anna and Grandpa loaded.

The boys had their bb guns and were ready to go.

When we got up to our little picnic spot there was a neat labyrinth built. In the middle was a pile of money - an offering to the Gods. We made sure not to touch it. It was fun to walk the little path.

It was such a pretty ride up the mountain.
This was a neat little green pond.

A great day for a picnic.

Flag Football

This year Jackson decided he wanted to do Flag Football. Randy said he would coach his team so he was super excited. Randy got him new football cleats and his flag football shirt and he was ready to go!

It was fun watching the kids run all over the field chasing each other and Jackson had a great time. He says he wants to do it again next time.
It was also really fun watching Randy coach. He does so great with all the little kids. He's pretty amazing.
Jackson is the one in the red shorts in all these pictures.

It was always right after Anna's gymnastics class so then we headed over to the field afterwards and her and Isaac had fun playing their own little games of football on the sidelines.

One week Jackson was sick with a fever and a few other kids were missing on Randy's team so he asked Isaac to fill in. Isaac did amazing! He was pulling flag off kids, running and catching the ball and was a fast runner. He is the kids in blue pants with yellow stripes down the sides. I think he had a great time while he was doing it but said he doesn't want to play on a team. Randy is trying to get Anna to play on his team next season.
