Spring Break Fun

To start our spring break off I decided to take the kids to the Shark Reef. Grandma came with us.
We found our way into the parking garage of Mandalay Bay. (Finding our way out wasn't so easy.)
 Going down the elevator.
The kids loved seeing all of the cool animals.
 A Komodo Dragon
Jackson wanted to get in with him I guess.
 Huge fish!
Most of my pictures turned out horribly in here, but better than nothing!

In the shark tunnel.
They let you actually touch the sting rays. It was very cool.

 Jackson was the bravest.
They jelly fish reminded us of  Finding Nemo.

 A Lion Fish
At the end you go down into the bottom of a sunken pirate ship.
Very fun.

Out With Grandpa

They always find something fun to do when they go out with Grandpa
Grandpa took the kids up to the dam and Chris Whitney was on his excavator. The boys were so excited to get to ride with him.

I don't think Anna was as excited about it but she does love her Grandpa.

Camping at the Game Farm

All this nice weather around here has really been giving us spring fever. We finally got a camping trip planned for this weekend and Friday morning it was raining like you wouldn't believe. I should have taken some pictures of  the muddy muddy mess loading the trailer made - but there was no way we were backing out. We only went about 5 miles down the road to the game farm but it was a super fun trip and the kids had a great time playing outside together.
Uncle Dustin cookin' up some dinner.
 Jackson, Marky, Isaac and Anna.
Our trailer - Uncle Dustin pulled it down for us - our car wasn't up to it.
 The Lukester
Uncle Dustin made some delicious potatoes and ribs.

There was a whole bunch of geese in the field by us. The mesa looked beautiful.

Grandpa Jack and Grandpa Stan came down for a visit.

 Tellin' stories again.
 Going for a walk.

It takes a lot of skill to walk over a giant pile of sticks and not get poked or fall through.

Baby Johnny is a pretty good little camper.

We had dinner in the trailer Dustin and Lauren were staying in. Josh and Ty Jensen came down for a visit too.
Then we went over to our trailer to play some games. Grandma came down for a little bit too.  What a fun time we had!

Music Practice

Anna LOVES to go to "music practice" with me. The boys get to have "Grandpa Night" and Anna grabs her violin and goes to music practice with Mom.
One of my students Mom had her camera and sent me these pictures. I'm so happy to have them. On these kind of nights Anna gets to stay up past bedtime so I always have her go in her jammies so she can go right to bed when we get home.

I actually didn't even realize she was doing this but when we were all tuning she was tuning too. It's amazing how much they watch and learn. Always watching.
She HAS to have her own stand with her own music.

She is checking her bow grip.

She went over and leaned against my case for a little break. One can only handle so much Bach. Her favorite is Orange Blossom Special.

Playing with the group.
(I only hope she loves it this much when she is a teenager)

School Assignment

Isaac had a homework assignment that said to, "write and illustrate about something you love". Of all the things he could choose, he chose his Grandpa. Once a week Grandpa Jack babysits while I go to a music practice. The kids sure have a fun time with Grandpa.
