Whitney Reunion

We just had our annual Whitney Reunion in Marysvale. This time there was no one in the lower campground so me and Uncle Dustin headed down there. It was so awesome being down in the trees and by the river and an extra bonus to be the only ones in the campground. Everyone else stayed up top in their trailers.
We got there Friday and set up camp. Dustin and Lauren left Saturday but we stayed on till Monday.
The river was so fun for the kids to play in. It got pretty warm in the afternoons so it was perfect to cool off in.

Byrce, Emily and Dillon. So fun to hang out with our cousins.
 Our tent.
I don't know how I got so lucky but my best friend Trisha happened to be up there with her sister who runs the place. My kids love her and her kids - you can see why!!

This was too cute - Jackson and Emma walking along, holding hands.
 My little monster.
 Jackson and Marky.
It was so great to see Josh and SheriDawn - it had been way too long.
Aunt Donna always does the best crafts with the kids. She is so great - the kids love it!
Our gathering place for meals and activities.
We spent a lot of time at the river. Jackson and Johnny.
Isaac spent hours and hours each day with his older cousins out in the trees, bushes and streams making forts and exploring. He had the time of his life. Thankfully I got him in a few pictures when they came out of hiding.
We went up to an old miners camp with the Dalley's one day. It was such a beautiful day with some thunder rumbling and sprinkles.

Anna and Emma testing the water.
Will decided he should wash his face and hair in the river. (it was sooo cold)
Caleb decided he should too and had Uncle Corey dunk him.

I couldn't believe it but Isaac wanted to too - he said it felt good!
Uncle Darrell Whitney and Grandpa Whitney
 Aunt Susan and Dad
Aunt Donna had some Hula Hoops and Anna fell in love! She practiced and practiced.

Of course the kids LOVED going on rides with Grandpa Jack.

It was chilly in the mornings and evenings - hard to imagine when it was 125 at home that weekend.
Isaac and Jackson building some kind of town with roads. They worked very hard on it.

 Hammocks are the best.

 So are Grandpas.

 Isaac and James.
Anna figured out she could use glow sticks to hula hoop on her arm.
Monday morning we spent several hours in the river with our cousins before we headed home.

 Sweet action picture of Jackson.
I had some old plastic hats I brought for the kids to play with. They thought of all kinds of things to do with them in the river.

Grandpa and Matthew. He sticks pretty close to his Grandpa.
 Aunt Kristi joining in.
 Isaac and Caleb.
They started making delicious mud pies for me and I had to take a picture of each one.

The kids only see Alyssa about once a year at the reunion but they sure have fun playing together.

 Emma Lynns Masterpiece.
What a great time!
